HawkGreenFelts
felt never felt so good
Hawk Green Felts is run personally by feltmaker and textile artist, Pauline Coddington. Using traditional techniques, she specialises in original hand-made felt bags and two-dimensional creative textile work.
Pauline has been in business for many years and is a Member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen. She has exhibited and sold her work in galleries all over Britain and in Europe.
Her felt bags are based upon simple, smooth, sculptural lines and explore colour by combining dyed merino wool with vibrant tussah silk fibres. Her creative textiles reflect a deep interest in landscape and use blended fibres and recycled fabrics to create subtle atmospheres.

Marple is a town steeped in industrial history with well-documented links with textiles. There were several mills spinning and weaving cotton in the area but now there only remains the imposing Goyt Mill situated on the Macclesfield Canal at Hawk Green.
